Hair Sprinkles in person services are now available for booking. One on one and group workshops are on pause.
In person service: Covid-19 has hit us all in various ways but I’m so glad to be able to receive in person clients again! To keep exposure chances limited I will be operating on a limited schedule. Online booking is still my primary source of scheduling but same day booking is no longer available. Waiting accommodations have changed so clients are asked to come to appointments alone and of course masks are to be worn at all times. Upon booking your appointment online and receiving your confirmation please be sure to read the confirmation email in detail as it will outline protocols & expectations for services. Workshops & Education: Erring on the side of caution all In person workshops are postponed until further notice. However the Hair Sprinkles 101 workshops is now online and comes with the Hair Sprinkles Kit!

SSQQUUAAADDD UP! The Hair Sprinkles Tribe showed out on Saturday October 12th for “The Salon” at The Smithsonian Hirshhorn Museum! It was such an honor to be apart of this amazing celebration of black hair. Complete with a viewing of the series “The Salon” about the hair stories of girls & women of color created by Art LAB teens this exhibition encompassed amazing interactive instillations as well as art & photography curated by The Hearchy. A panel discussion including Lady Clipper salon, Alelia Bundles (the great granddaughter of Madame CJ Walker) & Corwezilla (most know for her work with Solange) led by Tashira Halyard (Beauty & Self Care blogger) and a live Hair Art instillation featuring Hair Sprinkles! This was the first event of it’s kind at this internationally known museum as well as for the team and we knocked it out of the park! Sharing space with over 2000 people after selling out twice! That’s the power of of the culture!
Having certified practitioners of Hair Sprinkles, trainee’s & beautiful client-models be a part of this amazing experience was such a highlight of this year. When starting the Hair Sprinkles workshops just one year ago I wanted to make sure I could not only share the technique, create a community of artist to effectively share the brand and what makes so many happy but also create opportunities for US ALL to share our magic! The adornment worn by many, comes from humble beginnings in Washington, DC at Under the Sun Hair Studio. Hair Sprinkles is an artistic accent for ALL hair textures.
Hair Sprinkles, created by Amber Mimz in 2012, creates a "fairy dust" like effect of colors in your hair. Easy to style and manipulate, this boho inspired look can be the "go to" for a unique conversation starting style and permanent color alternative.
Creator, Amber Mimz, takes clients in Washington DC and also travels for events, pop up shops and shoots across the country.
Service, care and Fees:
This is a service that is installed into the hair that can last at a minimum of 9 month and up to 2 years for permanent instillations. Temporary installations last a minimum of 6 weeks. (depending on the hair texture, type and adornment materials).
Holds up through washes, dryer sets, color, braids/twists, and multiple styles! No need to change your hair routine!
Installation fees vary depending on length, hair texture and material but all services start at $50 per 2 installations at 6-8” in length. See booking link for detailed costs.
Consultation is required for all services and new clients.
